System Requirements

QUESTION

What are the requirements for my pc to run RockTrader PRO?

ANSWER

Operating system

Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP SP2 (except 64-bit), Windows Vista or Windows 2003 server

Internet browser

Internet Explorer 5.5 or later must be installed and should be default browser.

Computer

Minimum
CPU: Pentium 1.5 GHz
Free hard disk space: 200 MB
Modem/Internet connection: 56 kbps modem (56 kbps is possible but not recommended. 56 kbps might present problems when downloading the installations and upgrades)
Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 (16 bit)
RAM: 512 MB (1.5 GB if you are running Microsoft Windows Vista, because Windows Vista alone needs 1 GB)

Recommended
CPU: Pentium 4, 2.5GHz or faster
Free hard disk space: 200 MB
Modem/Internet connection: 256 kbps or faster
Screen resolution: 1280 x 1024, true color (24 bit).
RAM: 1 GB (If you are using Microsoft Windows Vista we recommend 2 GB because Windows Vista alone needs 1 GB)

Other requirements

a. In order to run the Arabic version, support for right-to-left languages must be installed in Windows. If it is not, please do as below:

1) Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options.
2) On the Languages tab, under Supplemental language support, select the Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages check box.
3) Click OK or Apply.
4) After the files are installed, you must restart your computer.

 b. In order to view some of the analysis pages incorporated into the RockTrader PRO, Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed. The latest version of the program can be downloaded from Adobe.

c. Java virtual machine must be installed to view the Streaming News and Instrument Information pages.

Macintosh

QUESTION

Can RockTrader PRO run on Macintosh pc?

ANSWER

Note that RockTrader PRO has not been tested with Mac pc, and we can therefore not guarantee full functionality. That said, the best chances to get RockTrader PRO working on your Intel based Mac pc is by using Boot Camp 2.0. Boot Camp 2.0 enables you to run a 32 bit version of either Windows XP or Vista on your Mac. Please note that RockTrader PRO is a Windows only application and will not run on the Mac operating system. Apple recommends that the latest version of the Mac OS is installed (Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard). The previous version of Boot Camp was a public beta and therefore not supported by Apple.

QUESTION

Can RockTrader PRO run on Windows 95, Windows98 and Windows Me system?

ANSWER

Windows 95 and 98 (First edition)

RockTrader PRO cannot be run on Windows 95 and Windows 98 (First Edition). The Microsoft .Net 2.0 framework required for running RockTrader PRO is not supported by these versions of Windows.

Windows 98 SE and Windows ME

These applications do not adequately support RockTrader PRO. Running RockTrader PRO on these systems may result in the platform crashing or working incorrectly.

RockTrader PRO cannot be run on handheld devices - Windows CE is not supported.
